Spotify has unveiled its 2026 Songs of Summer predictions, a curated 30-track list from its global editorial team spotlighting the songs expected to define the season across genres and borders.
Nigeria’s own Tems features on the list through her collaboration with Dave, Raindance (feat. Tems), the fifth track off Dave’s third studio album The Boy Who Played the Harp. The song hit No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart — Tems’ first chart-topper in the UK and has racked up over 500 million streams globally.
According to Spotify’s Editorial Lead for Pop, Talia Kraines, a true summer hit comes down to “the vibes” — music you can enjoy outside in the sunshine with friends while crossing genres, cultures, and borders. This year’s list reflects that, spanning nostalgia-driven dance, globally influenced club tracks, reflective pop, and travel-themed country.
New this year: Spotify has added an in-app voting feature inside the Songs of Summer playlist, letting listeners pick which track they think will become the song of summer and share their vote on social media.
